As I may have mentioned a few thousand times summer is officially over. The raincoats and wellies are out and it’s the perfect time to seek out a calm winter hideaway. This charming little home is perfect for cosying up by the fire. A stone’s throw from the beach and picturesque town of Burnham Market there is enough to do to keep you occupied. They even let you bring your pooch.
Paddock End is light, airy and peppered with white washed wood, hand woven baskets and crisp white linen. Originally I had bought the stay as a gift to my parents but inevitably ended up going with the entire family. I booked it through Barefoot Retreats who are wonderfully helpful and who also have concierge service; so if you require a late restaurant booking, private chef, baby sitting or suggestions on where to go for the day they can help.
We where welcomed with a beautiful hamper that included all the essentials such as milk and bread but also some lovely added extras like homemade cake, Prosecco and L’Occataine toiletries.
