Last time I lay in a four-poster bed was on a pre-covid getaway at the beautiful The Wild Rabbit hotel. As I lay there, I tried to imagine how I could make a bed like that work in my own home. It somehow felt far too glamorous for my ‘real’ life. That was until I saw Neptune’s Wardley Four Poster Bed. The paired back design seemed modern enough to fit in my fairly laid back home.

If the Wardley doesn’t quite do it for you then keep scrolling and check out my list of fabulous, fairytalesque four poster beds.
The Christo four-poster bed from Pinch is a striking and contemporary take on this traditional style.

Another contemporary and beautifully made bed is the Marlow designed by Tim Rundle for Heals. Made in Portugal, Marlow is crafted from solid walnut. The minimal joins create a really elegant finish.

If you are after something altogether more contemporary then you will love this Melrose Canopy bed designed by James Patterson for CB2. The ivory knit fabric headboard helps add a cosy feel to this sophisticated, streamline bed.
