You're immediately greeted by an abundance of original features, like the wooden floorboards that creak just enough to remind you that you're in a very special place. The furniture is a perfect blend of comfort and style, with elegant armchairs, and vintage finds that create that too at home to move feeling.
After a delightful nights sleep in the church-pew silence (the kind only experienced in these parts of Devon) we trundled down to bowls of beautifully poached rhubarb with scads of the creamy yoghurt. Of course, for the meat eaters there is also plenty of bacon cooking on the Aga.
